The leading dish is this “5-Alarm Fall Vegetable Grain Bowl,” a killer seasonal adaptation from Chef Adriana Olson to a menu mainstay at Nordstrom. Hers was the winning dish at an innovation session featuring your mates at True Aussie and a whole kitchen full of Nordstrom chefs.
While the Australian lamb meatballs definitely star, there’s a great cast of flavorful seasonal elements – roasted butternut squash, greens, a toothsome red quinoa-farro blend, and crunchy root vegetable chips. We love the turmeric vinaigrette that holds this bowl together – it’s got those health cues for the Nordstrom shopper, and the earthy flavor is a great bridge. A little touch of spiced yogurt is more than plate decoration; it adds the perfect amount of richness to an overall light and healthy dish…and cools off any lingering heat from the “5-alarm” Nordstrom spice blend that’s in the meatballs.
